Hello! You're facing a challenge with your router's password change. Since UPnP is enabled on your desk router, you can still use it to forward ports without directly accessing the device. Just ensure the correct port settings are configured for the service you need. Let me know if you need further guidance!

Are you trying to swap out the unavailable router or is your "desk's router" hidden behind it? If the first option, knowing the model would be useful. If the second, it doesn't make sense because the upstream router's firewall remains active. And why are you using two routers at all? UPnP isn't very secure. Wouldn't it be better to forward only the necessary ports for your app or device? Or create a port-trigger rule?

They can't access the primary router. @Ilossss In short, if the main router lacks uPNP support and you can't connect to port forwarding, you're locked out. Also, if the second router isn't set up as an Access Point, uPNP will only work on that device and won't affect the main one, leaving you stuck even if it does have uPNP enabled. Once you manage to log in, you can still forward ports on both, though it's not the best solution. Having two routers might introduce issues and increase latency. The only fix is resetting the main router's password so you can gain access.
