I believe the issue lies more with your internet connection outside rather than your actual speed. This seems to be just what reaches your router. However, as I mentioned earlier, 1GB at 4Mbps takes around 33 minutes for upload. Are you experiencing this or is it taking significantly longer? Remember, speedtest.net often shows higher results than real-world conditions, and of course, YouTube's performance can vary depending on the time.

Cancel the upload and begin fresh. YouTube uses several servers worldwide, sending files to different locations. It’s possible your initial connection was routed through a server with a slower link at the time. Log out and log back in; this may cause your browser to connect to a server from another country, improving speed consistency. You can also try using a VPN service like Private Internet Access to simulate being in a nearby region.

Ahead of you, I tested the VPN in nearby countries but stopped 43 times this week, six times today. I’m unsure why since streaming on Twitch worked before and had a stable connection.

Convert the file type accordingly—switch from mp4 to mkv or vice versa using tools like MKVToolnix or Handbrake. This approach helps avoid issues where YouTube resizes or corrupts the video during upload, especially when compression problems occur in the background.

The transfer is progressing steadily, about one byte per second.
