There are several concerns about Uplay, though many users report similar issues. It’s often criticized for performance problems, limited features compared to Steam, and occasional crashes. Some players feel it lacks the community and flexibility that Steam offers. If you’re considering switching, weigh these factors carefully.

Some players are frustrated with EA and Ubisoft for not offering their titles on Steam due to payment requirements. As a result, they are forced to use several launchers.

I've been thinking about this too. I bought Assassin's Creed 3 on a disc five years ago and had to set up uplay on my PC. I've never run into problems with uplay or Ubisoft except for R6S, where it doesn't connect with friends unless we use Hamachi. I believe it's just a "trendy" dislike for Uplay. On the other hand, the Origin version has its own issues. I ordered a BF4 Deluxe edition for 70 euros, but when the game came out, I was charged and never received it. I reached out to customer service, who attempted to gift me the game, but when I checked my account transactions, they tried to send it. However, it didn't appear in my library, and I eventually had to buy the digital Deluxe edition again for 70 euros. In the end, it still didn't work properly. If I tried to join a server, it would say "PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed." I ended up needing a completely new computer to fix it, which took two years.
