Hello everyone, I currently have three 2GB DDR3 1333MHz sticks (total 6GB). I'm considering adding another 8GB DDR3 1333MHz stick. Would this improve performance in GTA V? I'm running at high settings and sometimes drop to 50 FPS. I'm wondering if more RAM would boost my frame rate, since the game feels sluggish. I've taken a screenshot of RAM usage while playing. Thanks in advance!
It doesn’t seem like the game is trying to use maximum RAM, so it probably won’t impact performance much. If you’re facing issues with low memory, the game would crash or slow down a lot.
The new release is still undergoing refinements, as Rockstar gathers detailed performance data to eliminate unexpected freezes and lag. It seems the open-world design causes noticeable FPS drops whenever new areas are loaded.
Activating VSync can improve display stability, but it may not be ideal for all settings. Your perception of it being "bad" depends on your specific use case and preferences.
