Hey everyone, here’s what I’m planning for my old setup. I’ll upgrade to a new CPU, motherboard, and RAM. The display will stay at 1080p with 144Hz, I’ll keep the GTX 1660 Super, use the existing case, SSD, and Corsair RM 850 power supply. My budget is around £450, which is about USD 625 or CAD 780. I mostly play games like CoD multiplayer and Witcher 3, and I don’t do much else on the PC—just gaming. Your thoughts would be really appreciated! Cheers, Val91.

You could opt for an R7 5800x within your budget including taxes. CORRECTION: My earlier note was incorrect. I was checking the wrong currency. The 5600x is a bit over budget. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Kstsht Switched to a b550 plus

Currently, I'm checking the tools I have at my disposal. Often, it's sufficient to adjust a CPU setting on your existing motherboard and RAM.

AMD build seems promising, but I'm still weighing the options. The Intel I5 11600k looks solid for gaming, though AMD could be a strong alternative depending on your needs.

You're using an Intel I7 4770K with 16GB RAM on an MSI Z87-G45 GAMING LGA1150 motherboard. It's quite an old configuration, but you might still find some hidden upgrade paths you haven't considered.

You can boost the CPU speed to 4.4-4.5GHz, which makes a noticeable difference. This processor is solid and won’t struggle in your setup. What improvements are you expecting from a fresh CPU?

You're experiencing lower than expected performance in CoD multiplayer, with only 85-90 FPS and long load times. Your current settings are set to low, yet you notice others achieving higher speeds on similar hardware. You've boosted your CPU clock to 4.4 GHz and use a Corsair H100i cooler, but the issue persists. Consider checking for driver updates, GPU compatibility, or adjusting in-game settings further.

The list works well. Since you already have a Corsair H100i cooler, you won’t need the Hyper 212. You should be able to find AMD brackets for it.
