Hey everyone! So I just moved in and found the Wi-Fi box in the front laundry closet—where the fiber cables were put in. My PC is about 30 feet from the router, but I don’t have a way to connect Ethernet directly from the router to my computer since the setup doesn’t allow for easy cable hiding. My speeds on Ethernet are pretty decent: around 1.6GB download and 1.5GB upload. On WiFi, it’s only 200Mbps down and 300Mbps up—still fine for casual use, but not great for big downloads. If I need to play larger games, I usually switch to Ethernet across the house. I’ve tried a PowerLine setup before, but it doesn’t seem to offer much improvement. I’m curious about mesh networks and how they might help, though. Any advice would be appreciated!
