You can switch to Windows 11 without buying it outright. There are free alternatives available, and you don’t necessarily need an active account to use the version. You should retain the watermark and basic customization options.

The Pro version allows use without an MS account. The Home version requires one, though that shouldn't be a problem. You'll face restrictions on watermarks and customization as expected. If you're okay with that, proceed accordingly; otherwise, consider purchasing a budget key from a third-party seller.

I understand this requires more detail, but before upgrading, I need to confirm everything is set up correctly. The games I’m focused on are Valorant, Rocket League, and Trackmania 2020. For the files, I’ll require all Word and PowerPoint documents.

Always make a backup before proceeding. All files in the user folder remain untouched. Certain applications won’t be transferred—you’ll need to reinstall them. I’ve verified Steam and Epic work fine on my system. If you already have an activated Windows 10, you don’t need to reactivate, just run the installer alongside the existing one.

Your main focus on gaming means the advice is clear: no. Wait at least six months. It's been released, but Microsoft is labeling it a "release"—it will need more time to develop fully.
