Will OC'ing my A6 6400k black edition help with the RX 480 bottleneck? I have an Amd a6 6400k black edition (stock clock and fan) and a Radeon rx 480 8gb, but the RX 480 is limited by the CPU. If I apply an OC, will a Corsair H60 water cooling system improve performance?

"Ax" APU's are not meant for AAA gaming. The benefit of getting one is the built in lower tiered GPU that is built in. They have their place, but gaming generally is not it. There really is not much you can do to that to make it better. As superninja12 said above, give us your full system specs and a budget and someone should be able to help.

you can get a custom designed water cooler and it will still cause a bottleneck....
unfortunately, any cpu in that socket will limit performance with an rx 480.
but it's not a bad purchase!!!
the best option is to upgrade your cpu, psu and motherboard. what do you have available?

No, simply boosting the CPU isn't sufficient, and the motherboard isn't capable of supporting any additional upgrades.

Fynntastic18 :
Will upgrading my A6 6400k black edition help with the RX 480 bottleneck?
I own an Amd a6 6400k black edition (stock clock and fan) along with an Radeon rx 480 8gb, but the RX 480 is currently limited by the CPU. Would installing an OC and using a Corsair H60 water cooling system improve performance?
It doesn't matter how much you overclock unless you hit extremely high speeds (over 7ghz here) where the CPU will still limit the GPU. Better to upgrade to an i5 processor with a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM. Avoid wasting money on something so underpowered.

Corwin65 shares his thoughts on Ax APUs. He believes they're not ideal for AAA gaming, but the built-in lower-tier GPU offers some advantages. He suggests providing full system details and a budget for better guidance. His rig specifications are as follows: CPU - A6 7400K #.9GHz Max Turbo/1MB Cache Black edition, motherboard Gigabyte F2A68HM-DS2H Socket FM2+, GPU Sapphire Radeon RX 480 8GB DDR5, power supply ACTECK AF-B700 700W, and RAM Kingston hyperX Fury 8GB 1600MHz DDR3.
