I'm using a Radeon 6800 and the 5700X3D is now a solid deal. I'm already running a 5600 and am satisfied with its performance, but newer AAA games push my frame rate to around 75 in 1440p or ultra. Upgrading would bring me into the 90-100 range for much better smoothness. I won't spend another $130 on the 5800X3D—it feels like a waste. Building an AM5 setup isn't likely, so I'll hold off until AM6 arrives.

Achieving a 33% boost (from 75 to 100 fps) would require your GPU to operate near 75% capacity without forcing the frame rate artificially. This isn't just about top speed—it could also help with minor performance hiccups that feel smoother.

Your GPU performance in the game is currently at a high level. You’ll only see gains from unused parts, meaning you might reach your full potential. If the 5800X3D eliminates the main limitation, you could achieve maximum improvement. Otherwise, you may experience slight drops and minor stuttering.

The price is currently $200 in the US. For short-term use on the AM4 platform, this is the most viable choice. Otherwise, you may have to develop an entirely new solution.

It varies based on the game you choose and how much time you plan to spend on the site.

GPU performance stays in the mid-range most of the time, usually around 70-80%. I keep the voltage low to maximize its potential.
