I believe the CPU is slowing down since I experience freezes even when opening apps. In recent games, the performance drops are noticeable, especially during menu navigation.

The 3600 consumes its lunch, allowing it to watch while eating and then defeat the empty lunch bag. The 3600 can handle this too, using less power, with the x version featuring a 95W chip and the non-x version a 65W chip.

Likely just need to reinstall Windows or swap out your hard drive/SSD. It's tough to damage the CPU/RAM, but a 3600 is better for 144Hz gaming. What's your budget and country?

Consider options like the 3200mhz CL16 or 3600mhz CL16 kits. Ensure the board includes the newest BIOS, or opt for an MSI MAX or MSI B450 model that supports USB BIOS updates. Also, verify it has a 4-phase VRM with a suitable heatsink.
