Hi everyone, I'm looking for advice on upgrading my storage pool. I currently use Windows 10 Pro with SATA drives, including a Samsung SSD for booting, DVD-RW, and two WD Blue 4TB drives. I set up two 4TB drives in mirror mode through StorageSpaces many years ago. Now the pool is nearly full, and one drive shows pending sectors. I bought two new 8TB drives in a good deal and plan to swap them in for the two mirrored 4TB drives, keeping everything in NTFS and preserving my data. I'm concerned about compatibility with larger drives and whether the recent upgrade feature affects previous tutorials. I use the DVD-RW drive and two HDDs for general use, so reducing downtime is important. Would it be best to remove the existing HDDs, install the new 8TB drives, and create a fresh pool? Then migrate all data and rename the new drive path. This sounds reasonable, but I want to confirm. Thanks for your input!
