Hi all,
I’m planning to replace the power supply in my V55t-15API Lenovo desktop with a silverstone TX500 Gold PSU that has a 24/20 PCIe connector. I’m considering using an adaptor with 24 pins, but some Amazon reviews warn it can damage motherboards. Since I’m new to PC building, I want to avoid costly mistakes. Any advice would be really helpful!

This adapter is tailored for this particular motherboard with a 5vSB to 12vSB transformation, and the case accommodates a 30mm larger PSU.

Hi Sid,
The adaptor I was thinking of is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/COMeap-Adapter-...B06WV9Z9QT. It seems it should work for Lenovo PCs, though I'm not entirely sure about my motherboard compatibility. I've checked the dimensions of my case and think it can support the power supply.
