Increase the CPU speed independently of the base clock. Raise turbo and power settings. Remove unused peripherals and turn off XMP overclocking.

How to stop your RAM from overclocking is a common concern. You may need to adjust BIOS settings, use proper cooling, or ensure stable power supply to maintain safe operation.

Xmp isn't working, but it still boosts my RAM when I raise the base clock.

Sure, I learned how to slow down the RAM, I’m planning to give it a shot first.

Hey, did you switch off XMP earlier or was it already off? If it was off from the start, you missed a chance to fully utilize your memory's capabilities. Make sure to turn XMP back on after this overclocking session.

I typically power it up from the BIOS, but this unit won’t start at all even with a CMOS battery inside
