Hello everyone, I thought it would be wise to upgrade my old system. Although buying a new one would be more efficient, I don’t want to spend too much right now. My PC has an H110M-S2V motherboard, a GTX 1060 graphics card that I plan to replace with an RTX 2060 and an i3-6100, while the i7-6700 is what I want for the CPU. I’m not sure if I should also change the power supply unit. The one I have is a generic GTT 500w, which seems quite unreliable, but it has worked fine since 2016. Please share your advice.

Please list the specs to your current build like so: CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: Ram: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time. If yes, consider yourself lucky to have your system survive this long. Badly built PSU's are a recipe for disaster, regardless of what parts you pair with said PSU. Please give me some advice.
