Upgrading from Legacy to UEFI on AsRock H310CM-HDV
I'm not certain about this, but from what I understand, legacy uses MBR while UEFI uses GPT. I haven't encountered a direct overlap yet. When I updated my system, I turned on UEFI support, turned off legacy, and switched my MBR to GPT—this was six years ago. That’s all I know so far.
I turned off the CSM feature, making my SSD unseen by the BIOS. Then I reinstalled Windows 10 using a bootable USB drive, which set up all the required partitions on the SSD preview version and launched Windows 11. I’m curious—if I remove the system reserved partition on my data HDD, will everything still function properly? Thanks for your assistance!
