In short, I purchased a Corsair DDR3L 1.35V 1600MHz for my Asus F550JX DM020D laptop, aiming to boost RAM to 12GB and added an external SSD. Everything functioned properly initially. During gaming, the screen flickered, colors distorted, and pixels appeared off—images looked similar but more noticeable. I updated the BIOS and reinstalled the NVIDIA driver, but issues persisted after about 20 minutes in a game, especially when using the 8GB RAM stick. After removing the old 4GB stick, everything worked again. I played 3-4 gaming sessions without problems. I’m unsure if the RAM is faulty or if Windows reinstallation would help. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
