Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my computer. My laptop has a single-core CPU, so I want a dual-core option. I checked the motherboard compatibility and it supports dual-core CPUs. However, I've heard that newer CPUs usually match the previous TDP rating. My current CPU uses 5.5W, while the new one I'm considering is 25W. Would it be feasible to use this higher TDP model? Should I add thermal paste to bridge the gap? Thanks in advance.

This laptop is specifically built for solo use. The only real upgrade would be a different model. Even with a dual-core processor, streaming YouTube and Netflix feels limited.
