Upgraded Ryzen 5 3600 to 4.5GHz all-core performance
Looking for someone with a 3600 that's been overclocked to 4.5Ghz on all cores. Planning to test it out and want to know if this frequency is typical. Also considering using a Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Cooler.
The boost in frames per second is significant, but the gains may be limited and could affect the device's longevity.
I suggest a 5% boost in FPS during games under ideal CPU conditions. It doesn’t add much value when you’re just playing. The main reason I use overclocking is for customizing my system. For productivity or creative work, performance improvements are typically around 10-15% versus the standard model, which runs at about 3.9GHz all cores. You can check OC results for the 5600X in this new release video. It shows the comparison between stock and a 4.8GHz overclocked version. With Ryzen 5000 overclocking, it might be more worthwhile again. I wasn’t expecting it to reach close to 4.8GHz all-core.
