my server is set up with a 4-disk ZFS array of 4x8 TB using standard redundancy. At first I didn’t mind the performance, but now I have two extra Seagate 7200rpm drives. I’m considering swapping one WD Red drive offline, replacing it with an EXOS, and then doing the same for the other drive. This would let me use 4x250 MB/sec disks in RAID. It might feel slow right now, but I don’t have much space to move data elsewhere.
