Upgrade your system from Windows 7 to Windows 10 smoothly.
Hi everyone, This is such as noob support request, but I recently purchased an 128 GB SSD and would like to install Windows 10 on it. I currently use Windows 7 on the PC that I want to upgrade. With this process I have a few questions: 1. Is it possible to move my Windows 7 directly to my SSD from my HDD? 2. If I keep Windows 7 on my main HDD and install Windows 10 on my SSD with there be any corruption? 3. If I need to backup my files and reinstall Windows 7 on my SSD and reformat my main HDD will the files under each library be back in their place when they are moved back to the HDD? For instance, if I backed up my data and had certain files and programs on my desktop or documents library on the back up and then placed them back on my HDD, will the files show up on my desktop and other libraries? Also if I were to just install windows 10 on my SSD and had my HDD with all the file in their libraries, will they show up accordingly? Meaning desktop programs & files will show up on the Windows 10 desktop and the files under the documents library will show up under documents in the Windows 10 explorer. 4. If I wanted to create a dual-boot functionality of Windows 7 and Windows 10 on my SSD how would I go about doing it properly and could it hurt each operating system in any way? 5. I have a few cracked programs I use on Windows 7, will they be compatible under Windows 10? 6. Do I need a key to use Windows 10? I like Windows 7 but I really want to give Windows 10 a shot and would like to install it properly. Thanks! I look forward to your responses.
I was planning to assist, but now I can't as it violates the CoC guidelines on piracy. The only advice I can give is to perform a fresh installation of Windows 10 on your SSD and enjoy it.
