HP consistently meets its own benchmarks. When they update internal components, they create updated manuals so certified partners understand the details during repairs.

Here’s a revised version of your message:

Thanks to everyone for your ideas! I’ll definitely consider all the suggestions you provided. I’ve been trying to upgrade my RAM, but I hadn’t thought about resealing the memory as an alternative. Switching to a Linux OS is also on my mind and I’ve been thinking about it for some time. A fresh installation on the laptop isn’t working either—I’ve tried twice before it stopped midway through. It was still connected to the charger and USB. Appreciate all your help again! TaGr

The clean setup on the laptop isn't functioning, I've attempted it twice. The latest failure occurred midway, possibly indicating a failing HDD or needing a full disk scan—consider a clean install via USB.

Alright, I understand what you mean. If you push it this far, you might actually save money by getting a better laptop instead of spending more time hoping for success.

It's an SSD, but I'll clean it up. Likely something went wrong on my end, okay?

He mentioned that RAM was soldered already, so why would you think he needs to solder it again? You're right, he should just install Ubuntu since it works fine on the machine I own.
