Hey, your setup looks solid with the i3 6100 and H110M board. Switching to a Ryzen 3600 on an B550M board could be a smart move if you're looking for better performance and efficiency. It's worth considering the upgrade based on your needs and budget.

You can find a more affordable B450 motherboard, with most available models supporting the 3000 series out of the box now. If you're hesitant, opt for one featuring a BIOS flashback button, such as the MSI Tomahawk or Gaming Plus. AM4 is technically no longer supported, and no new CPU generations will be released on it—unless you really need its latest features, which you likely don’t. B450 also supports the 5000 series. AM5 is expected later in 2021 to early 2022.

It's a strong CPU, 3600, and you're off to a great beginning.

The 1650 seems like it could slow things down compared to the 3600. If you intend to keep the 1650, think about switching to a lower-end Ryzen CPU like the 2600. This would free up budget for better RAM and a more affordable motherboard, possibly just needing a B450.

Consider using a 3400g power supply and a B450M motherboard for optimal performance.
