Upgrade your Strix motherboard with a replacement part. Ensure compatibility before purchasing.
Hey there, I’m working on picking a motherboard for my upcoming build. The ROG Strix B550-A gaming looks like a solid match—good performance, Ryzen 5000 support, ATX size, and available in white, silver, or black. It won’t bottleneck high-end components, but it lacks built-in wireless WiFi. Any suggestions for a replacement that fits these specs? Thanks! -TomPot
Several boards meet these specifications, though adding a quality Wi-Fi card to the Strix board you discovered could be worthwhile. A few options include ASRock X570 Steel Legend WiFi AX NZXT N7 B550, ASRock X570 Taichi, and Gigabyte B550 Vision D-P. All these models are significantly pricier than the Strix board you found, so it might be more cost-effective to install a Wi-Fi card within that setup.
For me, cost isn’t a major concern. I’m currently using a gigabyte vision card, so the motherboard could either perform exceptionally well or poorly depending on it, but that’s just my opinion. I’ll consider these options!
