Hello everyone, welcome to the new year! I'm trying to lower power usage and cooling needs on my Ryzen 7700X. I've been using these settings for a while now—no crashes or problems. The adjustments include Curve Optimizer -30 PPT, 95W max (stock 142W), TDC limit 100A (110A stock), EDC limit 150A (170A stock). I'm pleased with the temperature, power draw, and quiet operation. However, I'm curious—are these settings safe for long-term use? I ran Cinebench 2024, a two-hour CPU stress test in Aida64, and about half an hour in Prime95, and everything worked fine. Am I confident this will hold up? Do I need additional tests, or is it sufficient if the PC performs well during regular tasks like gaming? Thanks for your guidance!

Running these configurations is entirely secure. I’ve turned on PBO and used -37 Curve Optimizer on my 7700x since September 2022. There have been no crashes—no need for stress tests; I just use the system normally, adjusting settings only if something fails.

Thanks! I'm still getting familiar with this undervolting process. People often mention stability concerns even if the system runs smoothly, so they suggest tools like CoreCycler. What PBO configurations are you currently using for your 7700X?

In my view, things tend to get too complicated. As long as it doesn’t crash, it’s fine. I notice many 7600x/7700x versions work well at -30. I’ll look into my PBO later—I don’t even recall. It was two years ago when I started this. Right now, in a game.
