You were probably kidding, right? I knew DDR5 would arrive soon, so upgrading to that platform makes sense. Spending on an expensive DDR4 kit now is a waste since it won’t offer much performance gain over a CL16 kit at half the cost. For most users, the memory die matters only if it fits their motherboard and CPU. A pricier kit will lose even more value compared to a cheaper one, especially with DDR5 coming next year.
