The RGB option was actually more affordable than the black and white model they were considering. This set can handle higher frequencies smoothly. The XMP profile is optimized for the memory controllers, giving you a better chance of simply applying it without issues. I still favor setting it up with just two sticks, as it reduces load on the memory controller.

It's uncommon for AMD Ryzen Infinity Fabric to maintain a stable 2000mhz with 1:1 memory effective frequency at 2000mhz (4000mt/s). You'd likely run it at a lower speed around 3800mt/s. That setup is quite impressive. For a 16GB 2x8 configuration, a 3600mt/s system would be a good choice, though you might need to adjust XMP settings or rely on the built-in algorithms. I'm not certain about your exact needs beyond gaming with more than 16GB.

At lower frequencies, you'll notice some bandwidth loss compared to 4000Hz, but you're still about 90% confident in posting once you apply XMP settings. This makes it a solid choice for your needs.
