If your tasks can take advantage of the additional 2 cores or 4 threads, it should help. However, for most users it might not be a good investment. It really depends on what you're doing on your computer.

Yes, it makes sense if you have a lot of money and you're skilled in video editing—upgrading is worthwhile. If your goal is to boost FPS in games, it's not necessary.

The gains aren't as significant as they seem—just two extra multi-threaded cores with a minor boost in IPC. If you can afford something else, a different motherboard won't match its overall performance. It will be more adaptable and better suited for the future.

If it works, fine. A 9900k is just a lot of bells and whistles. You probably won’t need all the extra power.

I'm checking if your system would perform better. For instance, would applications launch quicker? Would streaming and video play faster? Would software updates proceed more smoothly? Since you don't play games, but often run multiple programs open, I'm wondering if keeping them active could impact speed.

The program starts depending on how fast your hard drive is. Seeing buffering happens because of Wi-Fi updates and the drive's performance.
