Yes, a Ryzen offers good value. It makes sense to keep the i3 8100 for now and start using the rx5600xt first. The benefits will outweigh switching to an i5 or Ryzen 5. Even if the i3 eventually becomes a bottleneck, the performance gap compared to your current configuration will be clear.

Realistically speaking, since you already have a solid motherboard, it makes sense to opt for a high-end i7 later on. I’d upgrade the whole setup once the i7 no longer meets your needs.
