You're preparing a major upgrade and want to keep your existing setup intact. Your main worries are compatibility issues between old and new drivers, preserving your current software, and avoiding the hassle of formatting. Your SSD is still in good shape, so you're confident about its longevity. The goal is to integrate the new hardware smoothly without disrupting your current files or programs.

I typically move to Windows and usually reinstall, but if that doesn't work, I follow these steps:
- Insert the new system; sometimes it won't boot, so I run the Windows startup troubleshooter from the recovery partition if available, or use the Windows ISO if not
- Let Windows install drivers and updates
- Install the GPU driver manually (including chipset for AMD) and any other missing ones—either from the manufacturer or via the link https://www.snappy-driver-installer.org/
After that, I also try:
- Using GhostBuster to clear devices that are still registered but not actively used
- Employing Driver Store Explorer to remove drivers no longer needed because no device is using them
