I considered the situation. The laptop with the Celeron M 370 and PGA479m socket didn’t work with the Core 2 Duo T5600, which also fits that socket. I tried swapping them but it failed—just a brief power flash before shutting down. Reversing the swap fixed it. It seems there might be a BIOS or chipset issue. Modifying the BIOS to support the T5600 isn’t likely, especially with the ATI Radeon Xpress 200M graphics card.
