Windows has improved significantly. I upgraded from my i5-4670 to R7-1700, then to i5-4570 and finally R7-1700 all in just two weeks using the same Windows version. It really surprised me it functioned. This experience was unlike anything I'd done before with Windows 10. Please note this required re-registering Windows.
