I received the Gigabyte X570 ELITE ATX AM4 recommendation, but the feedback wasn’t very encouraging. Are there alternatives under $300 USD that fit an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, 32GB DDR4 RAM (though that’s a bit much for everyday use), and a 2 GTX 2070 supers? I’m flexible on case size if needed.

They both come with high prices. Customer feedback isn't very helpful, but the board itself is okay. For the price it's not a good deal. It's an expensive board and while it can handle a 12-core processor, there are more suitable alternatives. Regarding the x570: the tomahawk and tuf are solid choices. The x570-p is decent too but misses some features. A pricier choice like the unify would be even better. I'm assuming you'll use them in SLI. Then the tomahawk won't fit because it lacks PCIe switchers and doesn't support SLI. The x570-unify should cost around $300 and offers a much better experience compared to the elite model.

The Asrock X570 Taichi costs $300, which seems high. The Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero is pricier but is available in stock.

since there are alternative choices that are more affordable or match the same quality, it doesn't mean the board is poor—it's simply costly for the features it provides.

I recommend the Asus Rog Strix B550 F for gaming or the B550-E for gaming. It offers the best value for performance.
