Hello, a few weeks back I upgraded my i5-7600 to the i5-12400f on an ASUS TUF GAMING B660-PLUS WIFI D4. I was curious about the chances of my Windows license issues and what to expect if something goes wrong. My current setup was built by my uncle, and I think I got Windows 10 from a DVD or possibly a code. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Almost certain it will identify it as a fresh setup. You’ll likely need to purchase a new license. Often, the license is linked to a specific motherboard.
