You're considering expanding your laptop's RAM from 8GB to 32GB or 64GB. It depends on whether you choose one 32GB or two 16GB sticks. Either way, you won't notice a performance drop—only a slight gain if you use both sticks together. For best results, using two sticks gives more memory capacity and better stability. Recommendation: go with two 16GB modules totaling 32GB.

We don't know the specific laptop model you're using. Could you provide more details?

When the laptop has dual-channel RAM, opt for both sticks instead of just one—the system can utilize two channels for improved speed.

Ah, this is true. I have a Lenovo Legion 15ARH05. RAM capacity is up to 64GB but I'm not sure if I want to go that high. Other specs include GTX 1650 Ti, Ryzen 5 4600H, 8GB of RAM, 1 TB of D: storage. I love your pfp.

It confirms dual-channel support, meaning it offers two channels. For a budget option, two sticks of 16 GB each will suffice. This works well if you're not aiming for the full 64 GB.

The difference in performance is quite clear.

Average 10-18 fps works well too; consider DDR4 3200MHz with latency between 16 and 38ms, or any acceptable value is okay. The main focus is on the 3200MHz speed.

These dual 16-gigabit sticks at 3200MHz are more than sufficient.
