For sure! Reseating means to remove and put back. Sometimes you have to reseat a cpu or reseat RAM to get it to work properly. It should work fine the first time. However, for my laptop, when I upgraded from 8GB to 32GB, it only detected only one of the 16GB sticks of RAM that I had installed. So what I had to do was remove both, and reinstall (reseat) them, and it detected them right away. It was probably just a detection glitch, but sometimes that happens.
