Hello, I’m looking to refresh this older PC I’ve owned for a while—the model is an HP 6300. I’m thinking about installing a power supply between 300-400 watts, a 1050Ti motherboard, and around 16GB of RAM. Since my CPU is from the third generation, I want something in the fifth or higher generation. I need to replace the motherboard, and I currently have a Hewlett-Packard 399A board. Do you have any suggestions or tips? I’m on a budget of about $700.

The situation seems unlikely to be a typical ATX build with custom connectors. It likely uses specialized interfaces for front components and power, so ensure compatibility before purchasing a standard ATX board. If you intend to upgrade the PSU, GPU, CPU, and RAM, it probably means you're upgrading an existing system—what would you retain from the 6300?

You could search for "PC under $700" to discover various choices. It may seem a bit condescending, but the intention is simply to help you find suitable options.

Refers to the HP Compaq Pro 6300? Upgrading isn't possible. The power supply is exclusive, the motherboard is BTX and likely tailored, and you'd require additional RAM. Expect a different case for any new parts.
