I looked through my files and found the image you mentioned. It could be an old motherboard—unclear what exactly. Regarding VRM cooling, it’s a component that manages power delivery to your components. If you shared the motherboard model, I can help verify compatibility. Just let me know!

I don't believe purchasing an older used CPU is the best decision, as the performance boost per dollar invested won't be substantial. In my view, upgrading to a newer platform would be more effective; you don’t need to spend a lot to see a noticeable improvement. For example, pairing an i3 12100F with a decent H610 and 2x8GB of 3200Mhz CL16 RAM would offer a significant upgrade over the FX6300. However, you’ll have to wait a few weeks for H610 motherboards to become available.

I just searched for the name you provided on Google. The blue motherboard seems to have VRMs that appear unused. It might be that Google is showing me something incorrect or you're looking at a different model. In short: inspect your motherboard, check the cooling setup and VRM configuration. Back then, 8XXX chips weren't advised for weaker or uncooled VRMs—they could overheat and lead to other issues.
