You have an RX 470 and are looking to upgrade your CPU and motherboard. Your current CPU is an FX-8350. Since you use the PC for gaming, video watching, and plan to do more intensive tasks like editing, drawing, and streaming, consider a newer CPU such as an i5 or i7 series, and a compatible motherboard with sufficient slots and features for those tasks.

I suggest the Ryzen 5 3600, it’s perfect for streaming as well. Choose any of these motherboards, and select one with the necessary features while staying within your budget.

They require additional RAM as well; these models use DDR4 technology.

I intend to purchase the ADATA XPG Z1 16 GB DDR4-3000. It seems well-reviewed and affordable, which influenced my decision.

RAM generally performs well without major issues. Always review feedback before purchasing. Using Samsung or Hynix chips is ideal but not essential. A 3000mhz rate should work nicely with a Ryzen processor, as they often benefit from higher speeds. Turning on XMP in the BIOS can enhance performance.
