Upgrade Windows 7 using OEM parts
Right had a PC built last year with Windows 7 installed. Recently I started working on building PCs again and used the included Windows 7 disk for a recent project because it was still functional. I recently learned about OEM processes and was considering wiping the existing Windows 7 installation to perform a full upgrade—replacing the motherboard and CPU, and adding an SSD for a hybrid setup. Now I’m wondering: can I do this without using another product key or impacting my other computer? Thanks, CP
Usages are tracked via motherboard switches. You can reinstall on the same MMO using the same key as before, without needing a different key from that group of three keys.
For clarity, you mean I can reset and reinstall it on the present motherboard, but I’ll need a different key for another one. Thanks!
