In a city setting, 5800x3D needs at least 60 fps. If your rig with a 4070ti isn’t hitting that, there’s likely an issue. Many users lower the voltage too much, causing noticeable drops in frame rate. It’s usually due to assuming stability without proper stress tests like Cinebench R23. I haven’t tried LGA 1700 in WoW, just a few Ryzen 3000 setups. I’m not backing Blizzard, so I’m holding off on testing until I can compare 7000 vs 7000x3D. I plan to run tests on a high-population Classic server in Stormwind or Orgrimmar, probably ending up in Stormwind. I can also check with a 12100f, 4790k, 3950x, 3600, Steam Deck, and R5 7600 all paired with an RTX 4090—except the Steam Deck, which is a letdown.

You’ve already given a clear response—just repeating past advice isn’t helping. Pick one of the recommended options and move forward.
