I've been using Windows 10 preview since I lost my 8.1 key and the installation during the SSD setup (long story). Now I got another one, but it crashes every 40-60 minutes. I'm wondering if it's possible to install it while keeping drivers and software intact. I know upgrades can handle that, but I'm not sure about downgrades.

From the threads I've noticed you can't (unless you save them to a flash drive or something similar).

You won't be able to do that automatically; you must save all your crucial data yourself and perform a complete system reset.

If you try the "upgrade" option, it might be causing the issues you're experiencing. Please avoid doing this again, as problems will likely continue.

On my single machine running Windows 10 (still in use) there have been no major problems. Not a single issue I've encountered with anyone I've spoken to who is reliable. To sum it up, even if you could, it would create far more complications than you could handle.

Programs must include data within your registry, which means you can't hide them.
