I recommend keeping it at 10 for now and moving to w11 later. Avoid major glitches or bugs, like the recent update that wiped all data on your PC.

They aren't mandating it for upgrades from version 10 to 11, though they suggest turning it on. What we've learned about version 11 is that VBS enhances security, but they don't force it on upgraded systems, resulting in two security levels—those with VBS enabled by default versus those without. Such a benefit only makes sense if it's fully activated on all devices.
