Hi. I am considering upgrading to Windows 10. I'm gonna wait for a good DirectX 12 game to come out first. I currently have Windows 8.1 installed on my SSD. My question is, should I back up HDD (which I have all my games on) or is it okay if I only back up my SSD?
It should work if you just back up your SSD, but since you're not starting with a new W10 installation, it keeps all your data as before, similar to how the upgrade from W8 to W8.1 preserved files. For extra security, make sure to back up important files separately because mistakes can still happen.
