Trying to upgrade my Threadripper 1920x with a Gigabyte AORUS Extreme X399 board. Currently has 16GB RAM. Wanting to expand to 128GB. Found this kit on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-TridentZ-...B01HSED106 It mentions it's for Intel X99, but I thought these were standard DDR4 3200MHZ sticks that fit any DDR4 motherboard. Another point: the 3200MHZ speed isn't listed as supported on PCPartPicker for this board, though it says 3600 is okay. I'm guessing they'll work fine. Any advice would be appreciated. Higher performance options—faster data rates, reduced delays, more dimming controls—depend on your processor and motherboard compatibility. This setup doesn’t appear to be very challenging. It probably indicates the highest supported speed they advertise. For example, I tested a 128GB 3200MHz CL16 kit with a 1920x resolution on an ASRock Taichi board (possibly two 64GB units), and it still functioned well at 2950x. You can review the QVL in your motherboard’s manual or website for more details, though these listings often show limited options due to testing constraints.
