Hello everyone! I just moved to a Ryzen 3700x from a 2200g system. I installed an Asrock b450m Pro4 and updated the BIOS, changed the CPU, and booted the machine. It worked initially, showing a post screen before landing on the Windows boot screen (refer to the photo). However, it kept freezing at that screen no matter how long I waited. Eventually, I force shut it down, tried again, then shut it down once more. In BIOS I checked the boot drive but it didn’t start. Any suggestions? Could my drives have been affected during the BIOS update?

Disconnect the computer. Remove the CMOS battery. Hold the power switch for 15 seconds. Reinsert the CMOS battery. Test it now. You might have to adjust the BIOS again if you modified it.

Sorry, the CMOS reset didn't resolve the issue.

You're in Windows Safe Mode now. What should you do next? (Note: Windows won't start properly, and basic fixes aren't working. Some apps crash, and sound doesn't work either. The system reports a driver issue.)

You remove the CPU driver and possibly the chipset. I’d also delete Ryzen Master, as it might be setting unwanted configurations at startup.

The safest method is to use your system's built-in tools to remove the driver and chipset, ensuring no harm is done.

Just remove the app using standard uninstall steps. These might not be the root cause, but starting from safe mode is a good idea. In safe mode, open Task Manager and check which programs launch Windows.

I'm not very familiar with this process yet. Could you clarify if you're referring to the settings app or control panel under the apps/programs section? Also, let me know which program you're talking about so I can give you the exact labels.
