Absolutely, the VRM performs well even on a budget Gigabyte board. With the OP cooling solution, it functioned temporarily.

The adjustments don't apply because of insufficient cooling. I also have a cooler available.

It should function properly—it will retract the clocks when it anticipates damage. Edit: I only understand Asus boards; perhaps I should just compress it.
