Hey, I'm curious about your experience with Corsair memory modules. You mentioned the CMD128GX4M8A2666C15 running at 2666MHz with 15-17-17 timings. Have you tried overclocking them for faster speeds or different timing settings? It's a risky approach, especially for high-capacity sets meant for specific users. What are your thoughts on this? Are you looking for the lowest possible grade or something more stable?

I'm planning a manual overclock. I currently have an i7-6900k with an Asus Strix X99 gaming board, which is outdated by modern standards but has worked well for the past four years. The CPU runs at 4.3GHz after OC. Recently, it's been experiencing heat problems. My RAM is a Corsair LPX 4x8GB kit rated at 3200MHz with speeds of 16-18-18-36-T2; I've adjusted it to 14-15-15-35-T1 at the same voltage, which improved performance by about 10%. The CPU's IMC struggles to exceed 3466MHz with 16GB modules, so pushing it higher isn't necessary. The RAM set is currently on sale for around $300 USD (local currency, including taxes), which seems reasonable given its capacity. Since of this, I'm weighing whether to purchase it.

We don’t have a clear answer. Each kit varies in its features, and many factors influence memory overclocking. The best way to find out how much you can push it is by testing. We can’t give a definitive number unless you’re sure about your needs.

Absolutely, I get it. The question was different.
