Hello everyone, I'm looking to modify my RAM using XMP profiles and check if it's feasible to increase my 3200mhz RAM to 3466mhz. I understand that reaching 3600mhz with a 2700x ratio is challenging. My RAM is DDR4 2x8gb Geil Evo X ii AMD edition at 3200mhz, and the factory timings are 16-18-18-38 at 1.35V. I'm wondering if my system can support that higher frequency. My motherboard's max speed is already 3466mhz. My specs include an AMD Ryzen 7 2700x, Asrock B450 Steel Legend, ASUS Strix GTX 1070, Geil Evo X ii AMD edition, 128gb M.2 SSD, and a 1TB Barracuda 5900 RPM HDD with a 700w PSU.
This doesn't specify the exact model of your memory. What I understand is the series it belongs to. There can be many and varied differences between various models from the same series. For instance, some Trident Z sticks are excellent while others barely meet expectations, offering distinct performance and features. Certain CL 14 B-die or other Samsung IC-based sticks could also perform very well.
