Before the crypto surge (a fortunate moment for me), I chose to assemble my own gaming setup. I opted for a mid-range configuration to reduce risk if things didn’t go perfectly (it turned out simpler than I thought

I primarily played MHW: Iceborne, Fortnite (less so now), and CS:GO. Everything ran smoothly until I started playing FF14. In crowded areas, frame rates dropped noticeably—even after using MSI Afterburner, my CPU usage reached 50% across all cores. That prompted me to switch to a 5800X for better performance.
My main concerns were whether anyone had used a 5800X with the B550m Bazooka and what their VRM experiences were. I was also curious about upgrading from Zen 2 to Zen 3 and whether using a Scythe Mugen cooler would help. The performance seemed solid, but I wanted more insights.
After this change, my setup felt unbalanced (5800X on 5600XT didn’t seem ideal). If you’re considering a 5800X, what GPU upgrades would work best? Also, if you upgrade the GPU, would you need a PSU refresh too? Thanks for any advice—hope we have a lively discussion

The 5800X demands a high-performance VRM module plus superior cooling compared to a Mugen air cooler. It's one of the most powerful running chips available, so you'd likely want an upper-tier board with a robust VRM setup to handle the CPU. RTX 3080. Consider purchasing the card—lol.
