Upgrade instructions for Ivy Bridge CPU on Ivy Bridge CPUs
Ivy Bridge is being considered as either the next generation of Sandy Bridge or the earlier version. You're thinking about setting up media/web content with an i3-2100, but you feel your 1700 Ryzen with GTX1650S and 4GB of VRAM might be a stronger starting point.
Thats an msi board, pic of the board if you can? if you actually have an asus board its reccomended to flash bios to p67 deluxe for better oc capability (mainly rams) Also if you cant boot ivy bridge on it since the bios chip is removable you can use a cheap usb bios programmer like ch341a which is also good for upgrading teh bios to a better one from a higher end board
According to the official site, Ivy Bridge (third generation) was supported starting with version 5.1. A third-gen CPU is compatible if your BIOS version is 5.1 or higher. https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/P67AG45_B3/support
